Hourly Respite Service provides relief to the family or primary caregiver to meet planned or emergency situations. Respite care gives the caregiver a period of relief for scheduled time away from the person, including vacations. Respite may also be used in case of emergencies. It is only provided to those people who live in their own home, or their family home. Respite care will ensure that people have access to community activities as delineated in the individual’s ISP/Plan of Care. This service is available on an hourly basis and can be utilized up to 720 hours per year. Respite Hourly Services are provided in a natural/host home setting.
Respite Daily is a temporary living arrangement (up to 30 days per calendar year) for people living in In-Home supports or Host Home situations to provide caregiver relief. This service is available on a daily basis and can be utilized for up to 30 days per calendar year. Respite Daily can be provided in a DDA approved Respite Home.
